Hello, WE'RE MCJ!

Wedding Photography
& videography

MCJ Impressions is Melanie, Charlene, Jennifer. Sisters.

Established in 2009 … We are a family-run, photography and videography company, specializing in weddings, special events, lifestyle and travel.

our story

Born and raised in Southern California, our heart and passion was always for the arts and entertainment, studying photography, radio-TV-film, advertising and public relations at Cal State Fullerton and Cal Poly Pomona.

As little kids in the 1990s, we would make our own versions of feature films, using our dad’s video camera (the one where you would have to record onto an actual VHS tape!), and have special “screenings” for our parents every night.

One day, about two decades later, we got together and thought, “Why aren’t we combining our forces?” It was only natural that this would become a career, made from our life-long passions.

It’s all about embracing those real moments, and we are honored to be able to leave a lasting impression. Years from now, you’ll look through your photographs and videos and relive it all over again.

Melanie

I'm the "M" of MCJ, oldest of the three sisters, and lead photographer for your special day. Whether it be drawing, scrapbooking, graphic design, or photography, I've always been passionate about expression through visual art.

My hubby Dane and I have been together for almost 27 years and share a precious fur baby basset hound named Fred. I love traveling and adventure, the outdoors, anything related to food and cooking, and 90's music!

Jennifer

I’m the “J” of MCJ and lead videographer. My love for storytelling began long before I knew it would become my career, capturing life through my dad’s brick-sized VHS camera in the ’90s. There was always something magical about freezing moments in time to me.

At the heart of it all is my family—my husband Andrew, our daughter Emery, and our fur baby, Berry. When I’m not behind the camera, my love is food and traveling and going on adventures!
